Hallucinations - Oliver Sacks

Who would ever have guessed that Oliver Sacks had so much in common with Timothy Leary?

Once again Dr. Sacks shares his case histories and his insights. This time the subject is hallucinations, as you probably guessed from the title. He tackles the many varied causes - voluntary and otherwise.

I did enjoy this book, although Dr. Sacks seemed to dwell less on the interesting case histories and more on the technical detail than in prior offerings.

BOOK REVIEWS. Sort Of.

The Mind's Eye - Oliver Sacks

"Language, that most human invention, can enable what, in principle, should not be possible. It can allow all of us, even the congenitally blind, to see with another person's eyes."

Once again, Dr. Sacks brings warmth and humor to his exploration of the mysterious workings of the brain.

I need to remind myself, I could not possibly have all these disorders!
