I do so wish she was correct; but unfortunately, happenings like this have been occurring regularly for the entire time frame she notes (follow link for full story):
Schools removing books for being pervasively vulgar and educationally unsuitable are not practicing censorship. Since you claim I am "heavy on rhetoric, but light on verifiable fact," try this on for size: Board of Education v. Pico.
